Be That One
"Be a blessing to someone today." - Prov 11:25
Often in our daily lives, we don't think about "the little things." We don't consider how holding a door, smiling, or asking "How are you today?" can affect someone. We often say those are just "little" things, and maybe to some of us they are, but to others those simple acts of kindness have a powerful impact.
I once heard a story about a study that was done on the Golden Gate Bridge, one of the world's most active suicide locations, about a man who wanted just one smile in his direction. He said if one person smiled at him on his way to the bridge or at the bridge, he would not kill himself. ONE person, ONE smile, ONE act of kindness that is thankfully so effortless for us to do.
Be that ONE today to another person today. Smile, say hello, shake someones hand, because you never know...maybe you could literally save a life. Never underestimate the value of being a kind human being.

Being Wrong
Boston Marathon Bombing
Rest In Peace, Kim
We remember that you left peacefully and are now with the man on the cross.
So fragile and petite,
Intelligent and sweet,
Energetic and kind,
Always keeping others in mind.
You will be missed by so many.
University of Pennsylvania was your goal, a surgeon you said,
You were always so grounded and bright in the head.
Our hearts are sad and feel the pieces that lack,
We never thought we'd be going to see you wearing nothing but black.
Your life will be celebrated and we will keep you in our thoughts, prayers, spirits,
May you rest in peace and angels lead you to the place they know dearest.
Rest in peace, Kim <3
